 Former President APJ Abdul Kalam, the ‘missile man’ who came to be known as ‘People’s President’ was an Indian scientist who served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. He was born on 15 October 1931 and died on 27 July 2015, after he collapsed during a lecture at the IIM Shillong.
